There is a great discussion in the art world about the difference between art and craft. All of the work I produce is art, but when I re-create objects (take an existing object and enhance it, like with a vase), my head is in a different place than when I am creating other work. Many of the objects that come out of my studio and go into the garden are very fun pieces to develop and add a whimsical element to a garden. I started making objects for 'scapes when I became a member of C'ville Arts - a Cooperative Gallery, located on Charlottesville's downtown, pedestrian mall. The Gallery is an art gallery, and also a gift shop. Many artists teach or create books to support their lives as artists. I do neither of those things, but I will make beautiful objects for your -scapes! These types of objects come and go, fortunately somewhat regularly, so I do not try to keep current images on this page. If you are interested in knowing about the decorative work which I have for sale, please contact me directly and I can put together a slideshow of available work. Or, visit C'ville Arts in downtown Charlottesville!
